yay for school computers

You know it's time the school changed their computers when:

I connect my portable hard drive (I use the Creative Zen removable hard disk function), tranfer my data to the computer (Which incidently took an inordinate amount of time) and then 5 minutes AFTER I disconnect my Zen I get a message telling me that "the new hardware (Creative Zen USB Mass Storage device) has been installed and is ready for use"

Nice to know how lightning fast our campus computers are

Settling in to an apartment that now has 2 people instead of 4. Yay, lots of space.
Now we have a living room complete with TV and sofa. I'm pondering whether to get a playstation which can be either a gaming rig or DVD player. And the guys are telling Eugene and me that we need to get more pots and pans so that they can come and cook dinner here more often. Now, that's not a bad idea, having people come over and cook every weekend (almost), for the price of getting some new pots and pans, but if you're saddled with cleaning up after everything's said and done, maybe you're have a second think too
