IRDOC #99
Well, if you're astute enough to notice that I've added another entry you're probably astute enough to realise that I've also changed the headings for this entry. Henceforth, since I've been so irregular about updating this, IRDOC stands for IRregular Dose Of Crap.
Anyhow, January has been yet another roller coaster ride, cos' it's both the start of a new term and also more or less the start of winter. That means ski time (fun)...
The Holy Trinity of skiing for my batch (ie: Myself, David (actually he snowboards) and Keetong) started a little 2 day workshop on winter sports for any of the freshies who were interested in learning the isoteric, painful (actually that's only if you're on a snowboard, and then usually only on your rear end) and totally dangerous sport of sliding down slopes at breakneck speeds with things attached to your feet. Actually, it turned out that I was the one doing most of the teaching, David kept mostly to himself (and his GF) and spent a little time teaching ppl how to snowboard. I personally felt responsible for at least getting everyone to be able to stand up straight on their skis or snowboards and so I spent a fair amount of time at the beginner slope and occasionally banging my head on a brick wall by trying to teach someone with two left feet how to go straight.
Classes: I have a class where 3 ppl can take 9 hours to put together a 5 page report and another where the prof looks like a mental patient (at least before he got his hair cut...)... what do you think my classes are like???
Drunken parties: Lets not go there shall we?
Juggling: Got a set of contact juggling balls from my brother for christmas. Now I've got yet another thing to get good at.... Still working on dual devilsticks tho'
Ring of Steel: Have another open house in a few days. We had a former Ring member and professional stuntman come and give a workshop on stunts and falls a couple of weeks ago. We also did some work with the jerk harness. Some crazy matrix-like manouvres here, like ppl flying 4 metres after getting kicked.
And, all in all, sometimes happening, mostly boring day to day life...
Work, Juggle juggle, play play play (in about that order and quantity too)
Kinda reminds me of that Manson Song from Matrix 2 called "This is the new shit" wher he goes:
Babble babble, bitch bitch, rebel rebel party party sex sex sex and don't forget the violence
Blah blah blah got your lovey dovey sad and lonely, stick you stupid slogan and everybody sing along...
I'm bored, as you can tell.
